Make or break it with imagery

Has it stayed with you, inspired you to go out and create your own images, or have you just thought, ‘I’ll leave it to the professionals’?

I’m pretty confident that everyone has got their favorite photo, or style of photography. Images are everywhere – snapshots of lives and moments. You’d be hard pushed to live an entire day without seeing one. And of course we rely on good photography when it comes to design.

The perfect image can sometimes say much more than words, or can help to illustrate the point you’re making. It can be used to represent your company and let people know what you’re all about. Choosing the right photograph is therefore critical.

Thanks to the internet we now have plenty of affordable images to choose from. Gone are the days when you had no option but to spend hundreds of pounds on a photo shoot for every project.

That said, there are times when a stock photograph just doesn’t cut it. So, on those occasions, a well planned photo shoot is the right way forward. If you also choose the best photographer for the job, you’ll generate the professional images you need for your campaign.

We’re obsessed with images here at Bluestorm. We have a small, desk top studio which enables us to take our own photographs of products and packaging.
