PR and Marketing Trainee

Established in 2000, Bluestorm is a full-service marketing and design agency, offering a full range of marketing support services, covering strategy, digital, web, creative and communications. We provide integrated marketing services to a wide range of different customers, but specialise in food, education and regional development.

About the role

With the appropriate training and support you will be working directly on client accounts from week 1.

You work will include:

  • Meeting customers, and working with colleagues to research and develop campaigns
  • Liaising with design and digital teams, sharing briefs, devising plans
  • Helping to implement integrated campaigns and evaluate their effect
  • Drafting news releases, articles, social media posts, leaflets, brochures and reports
  • Sending draft work to customers, coordinating amends and seeing projects through to completion.
  • Learning how to write *tender responses
  • Providing administrative and project management support

You will be fully supported in your role by colleagues in the PR and comms team, as you get to know our business and learn about our customers.

The salary expectations for this role shall be 20-23k dependant on experience.

About you

With a degree in journalism, marketing, PR, or an essay-based subject, or a minimum of a year’s relevant work experience, you will be the right person for us if you have:

  • Good communication skills
  • A clear digital focus - with a keen interest in website performance and social media
  • Great copywriting ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • First class organisation skills
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Teamwork skills
