Surge in web traffic at Timloc thanks to new website

Our client, building products manufacturer Timloc, has seen a significant rise in traffic in the first six months since we created a new website for the firm. Aligning its digital strategy with its overall marketing objectives, we were tasked with increasing traffic to the website through improvements in search engine rankings, to generate more enquiries – a key part of the company’s business growth strategy.

We understood that researching materials online had become more prevalent in the construction sector with a high proportion of the company’s target market – architects, specifiers, contractors, builders and site managers – working on-site. So, being able to access the website using a mobile device was key.

Our digital team implemented a complete site rebuild. A new sitemap was adopted for SEO purposes and new layout was created to make navigation easier. Innovative features, such as an Upload Your Drawing facility, was introduced, so plans can be uploaded and assessed by Timloc to make sure the right cavity tray systems in the right quantity are delivered directly to site. There’s also Quote Builder, a shopping cart that allows visitors to add items and get an overall cost in one go before they order through Timloc’s network of merchants and distributors.

The new website launched in January and is generating positive results. The new digital strategy has resulted in organic traffic to the website rising by 46% and direct searches by 17%. We also supported the website launch with PR activity to generate brand awareness and help drive people to the website.

The website has also seen an increase in mobile traffic of 30%, which justifies the investment in the optimisation for mobiles and devices. This move will also help rankings, with Google’s latest algorithm update – which penalises sites that are unoptimised for mobile – now in force.
