The past six weeks have been a whirlwind of fun and festivities for the Bluestorm team, who have been out and about across the region at awards dinners, anniversary celebrations and Humber Business Week events.
Bondholders Breakfast
A few of us enjoyed attending the unveiling of the Humber place brand! This is all about positively influencing the perception and profile of the region – to make local residents feel proud of their region, to encourage new people to live and work here, and also attract further investment to the area.
This event, hosted by Future Humber, was to mark the launch of Humber Business Week and was all about shaping the world's view of the Humber region, with a little help from local businesses. Held at the MKM Stadium in Hull, the event encouraged us all to follow the place brand values – to be Revolutionary, Resourceful, Real, and Remarkable. We loved mingling with fellow business enthusiasts and, of course, indulging in some delicious breakfast sandwiches—because who doesn't love a tasty bonus, right?!
The Business Day
Next up was The Business Day, the grand finale of Humber Business Week, which was held at Bridlington Spa. Hosted by Gyles Brandreth, the day included a keynote speech from pop royalty - Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA! We had a great time supporting our client, Hull City Council. Our exhibition team created a stand featuring an immersive VR experience and handed out Hull's famous chip spice. Unsurprisingly, it was such a hit that we ran out in no time!
Humber Business Week is all about celebrating regional success stories and tackling current business challenges. With goals to inspire, motivate, and educate, we were thrilled to play our part in helping our client shine. A fitting end to an excellent week!
Celebrating 30 years of Bondholders
We were kindly invited by our client, Future Humber, to celebrate 30 years of Bondholders at TheStage@TheDock in Hull. The evening was filled with delicious food from Bert’s Pizzeria and Junk Soul Smothered, 90s music, and tricks from a local magician. We had a fantastic time networking and partying with fellow Bondholders – a group of companies that power the local economy and champion our region. We're proud to be a Bondholder and can't wait to keep representing the Humber with pride.
People in Business Awards
We were thrilled to receive another invite from Future Humber, this time to a prestigious event where they proudly sponsored the Rising Star award. Held at the Doubletree by Hilton in Hull, this event was all about celebrating and supporting businesses across the Humber region. A standout moment was the inspiring talk by Rose James, CEO of Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University, who shared the incredible work they're doing with local kids. It was truly inspiring!
