Looking back on Bluestorm 2024: A year of growth, collaboration and creativity

As we approach the end of 2024, it's the perfect time to reflect on an incredible year here at Bluestorm. From launching new websites to attending major conferences, celebrating team milestones, and giving back to our community, we've packed a lot into the past 12 months. Here's a snapshot of everything we've achieved together.

10 new websites launched

This year, we took pride in delivering 10 brand-new websites for our education clients, from concept and design to full build and launch. We worked closely with schools, colleges and FE establishments to ensure each site captured their unique identity while being intuitive, accessible and forward-thinking. Our web team delivered amazing digital solutions that truly connect with their audiences.

Making connections: Conferences and exhibitions

Bluestorm has been out and about this year, showcasing our expertise and staying on top of industry trends. We attended events such as the College Marketing Network Conference in February and AoC Annual Conference in November, meeting education leaders and sharing insights about web design and digital innovation.

We also joined exhibitions on behalf of our clients to ensure their brands stood out and made an impact on their delegates, while taking the opportunity to demonstrate what Bluestorm can offer in terms of creative design and digital solutions.

Giving back: Charity events and fundraising

Our commitment to the community shone through in 2024 with a range of charity activities. From team walks to organising raffles and bake-offs, we worked together to raise funds for a worthy cause. We were thrilled to hand over a final donation of £1000 to Dove House Hospice. Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported us in making a difference.

Celebrating success: Awards nights

We enjoyed a few evenings out of the office this year to attend various awards celebrations. It was fantastic to see our clients, partners and industry peers recognised for their achievements. These events inspired us to continue pushing the boundaries of creativity and excellence in all our work.

We attended several awards celebrations, cheering on our clients, partners and peers. A standout moment was winning the FE First Award for Website Development with Bishop Burton College. These events inspired us to keep delivering work that makes a real difference.

Our Digital Project Manager, Vicky, also completed her year with Hull and the Humber's Top 30 under 30 - a hugely prestigious accolade and proof of her amazing skill, determination and talent.

Design innovation: New leaflet designs

Our design team created fresh, engaging materials for clients like Visit Hull and developed forward-thinking projects such as Hull’s Milk Trail, which promotes breastfeeding-friendly spaces in the city. These projects helped our clients connect with their communities in meaningful ways and show our community off in a fantastic light.

Welcoming new faces

Our team grew this year, and we were delighted to welcome new talent, including Lauren, who joined us as an Account Manager. With fresh perspectives and a passion for client success, Lauren has already made a positive impact on our projects and our culture.

Team spirit: Outings and celebrations

We know how important it is to celebrate our hard work and enjoy time together as a team. Our Christmas party at the Beverley Hills Diner in Beverley was a highlight, giving us a chance to relax, laugh and reflect on everything we accomplished this year.

Looking ahead to 2025

As we wrap up 2024, we’re excited for what’s next. With more projects on the horizon, more ideas to bring to life, and more opportunities to connect with our clients and community, we can’t wait to see where the next 12 months take us.
